About James

Hi, I’m James.

I started my photography journey several years ago, initially focusing on landscapes and sports photography. My passion for photography was sparked during trips with my dad to stunning places like Iceland and the remote areas of northern Scotland. It was during these experiences that I realized the joy of capturing and preserving meaningful moments through photos. Although I wish I had realised this sooner during my travels to Yosemite and the Grand Canyon, those destinations are definitely on my list for future adventures.

During my travels, my work was noticed and featured by Canon UK, which was an amazing milestone. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to travel around Europe to photograph some of the world’s best track and field athletes. One of the images I captured during this period earned me my first magazine front cover publication, a moment I’m incredibly proud of.

So, you’re probably wondering, how did I end up in wedding photography?

After photographing a family friend’s wedding as a favour, I left with a feeling of “hmm, that was pretty fun.” Receiving several compliments on my work, I thought, why not give this a go?

Since entering the wedding photography industry, some of my work has been featured in wedding magazine articles. One of my proudest moments so far was being part of a shoot created to promote diversity within the wedding industry alongside to amazing suppliers.

As you’ve gathered, I’m a big fan of travelling. I also love food and exploring new places. I can’t be the only one who plans holidays around the best coffee shops and restaurants, can I? Thankfully, I balance my love for food with the gym and occasional run—that’s how it works, right?
